Polish Chruseiki

  1. Beat eggs until thick; add sugar, salt and rum or vodka. Combine flour and baking powder and place on a flat surface.
  2. Make a well in the center.
  3. Add butter.
  4. Blend together, using tips of fingers.
  5. Build up mixture and pour eggs-sugar liquid into the center.
  6. Using a fork, start stirring the liquid, adding the flour mixture into it, a little at a time.
  7. Knead dough until smooth. (Dough tends to be sticky, but do not add additional flour, unless necessary.)
  8. Turn dough over at first with a pastry scraper.
  9. Cut dough into 4 parts and roll out paper thin on a lightly floured board.
