Cream Puff Ring
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. whipping cream, whipped
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- Bring water and margarine to boil.
- Add flour and salt.
- Stir vigorously over low heat until forms balls.
- Remove from heat.
- Add eggs one at a time; beat well.
- Drop 10 (1/2 cups) of dough on greased cookie sheet to form ring.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
- Remove from cookie sheet to rack.
- Combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla.
- Reserve 1/2 cup cheese mixture.
- Fold in whipped cream and bananas; chill.
- Cut top of ring.
- Fill with whipped cream mixture.
- Replace top.
- Add remaining sugar, chocolate and milk to reserved cream cheese mixture.
- Mix well. Spread over ring.
