Crab Au Gratin
- 1/2 stick butter/margarine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 medium garlic clove, pressed
- 1/2 c. Wondra flour
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 pt. whipping cream
- dash of paprika
- 1 Tbsp. Cheez Whiz
- 1 medium jar sliced pimento
- 1/2 lb. lump crabmeat
- Melt butter in medium skillet.
- Saute vegetables and garlic until tender.
- To make cream and sauce; add flour and milk; cook to proper consistency.
- Add whipping cream.
- Add chopped, sauteed vegetables to cream sauce with dash of paprika.
- Add Cheez Whiz and pimentos.
- Stir in lump crabmeat.
- Taste for proper seasoning. Pour in a round casserole.
- Bake at 350u0b0 until bubbly.
- Serve hot.
