Clam Pie
- 25 clams
- 2 1/2 lb. potatoes
- 1 can mixed vegetables
- 1/2 c. diced onions
- 1/4 tsp. green pepper, diced
- 3 to 4 dashes Texas Pete
- 3 dashes Worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. parsley flakes
- 4 slices salt pork
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 pkg. 2 pie crust
- Cut clams up with sharp knife and fork.
- Peel and dice potatoes; combine with onions, pepper, Texas Pete, Worcestershire, oregano, parsley flakes, salt and black pepper in large saucepan. Cover with clam juice and water.
- Add mixed vegetables and boil slowly 1 hour.
- Dice salt pork and fry crisp.
- Add meat and grease to clam
- mixture.
- Continue cooking.
- Mix pie crust and roll out. Using 13 x 9-inch pan, line sides with crust.
- Add clam mixture. Cover with strips of crust.
- Bake in 400u0b0 oven until crust is browned.
