Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake

  1. Beat softened butter and sugar in a stand mixer until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add eggs.
  3. Mix in vanilla, salt and flour.
  4. Spread 1/2 of batter in a greased 13 x 13 x 9 pan.
  5. Spread 1/2 of the strawberry topping over the batter.
  6. Layer with the remaining batter.
  7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour.
  8. Pour cheesecake batter over the top of partially baked shortcake/strawberry batter.
  9. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean approximately 30- 45 minutes more-don't overbake.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool.
  11. Spread whipped cream over the top of the bars and cover with an even layer of sliced fresh strawberries.
  12. Cut into 12 bars.
