Barbecue Marinate(Brisket Barbecue Entertaining)
- 2 1/2 c. catsup
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 1 1/2 c. wine vinegar
- 8 oz. beer
- 3/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. prepared mustard
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- black pepper to taste
- 1 whole large beef brisket
- Marinate brisket in sauce overnight.
- Place whole brisket over hot coals to sear and brown fat.
- Place brisket and sauce in foil pan.
- Cover and cook over coals, approximately 4 hours (using a meat thermometer, 170u0b0 for medium).
- Slice and serve.
- Serves 16. I personally prefer the recipe without the chili sauce.
- Perfect for large barbecues.
