Tuna Noodle And Vegetable Casserole
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 large onion, minced
- 1 (No. 2) can peas, drained
- 2 (7 oz.) cans tuna
- 3 c. noodles, cooked
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated
- Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter and mix with drained peas. Break tuna with fork.
- Combine butter, flour, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and milk.
- Make a cream sauce.
- Add 1 cup grated cheese.
- Cook over low flame until cheese is melted.
- Place peas, noodles and tuna in greased casserole and cover with cream sauce.
- Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes in 350u0b0 oven.
- Serves 6 to 8.
