Stuffing Casserole
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 c. chicken flavored stuffing
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (8 oz.) can chili beans
- 1 (8 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained)
- 2 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp. onion salt
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Combine water and margarine; stir until margarine is melted.
- Add stuffing mix.
- Spoon half of stuffing into an 8-inch baking dish.
- Save remaining stuffing.
- Cook meat; drain fat.
- Add beans, tomatoes and spices.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Spoon over stuffing in dish.
- Sprinkle with cheese, saving half of cheese.
- Top with remaining stuffing and cheese. Bake 30 minutes.
- Garnish with sour cream, if desired.
