Mae Oma Jones' Lasagne
- 2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (12 oz.) tomato paste
- 1/2 lb. lasagne noodles
- 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. rosemary
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- In hot Wesson oil in heavy pan, cook garlic and onion until soft.
- Add beef and seasonings and cook until crumbly.
- Mix in tomato paste and hot water.
- Simmer 5 minutes.
- In 9 x 13-inch baking dish, put a thin layer of sauce, half the noodles, all the cottage cheese and one half of the Mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat with one half of remaining sauce, remaining noodles and Mozzarella cheese.
- Complete with the rest of the sauce on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
