Hot Dog And Baked Bean Casserole

• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1/2 cup onion, chopped
• 3/4 cup green pepper, chopped
• 1 lb hot dog, sliced
• 1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans
• 1/3 cup chili sauce
• 1/3 cup catsup
• 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
• 1 (8 ounce) can biscuits
• 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)

1. Cook onion and green pepper in 1 tablespoons butter.
2. Stir in hot dogs, beans, chili sauce and catsup.
3. For a sweeter flavor, add brown sugar.
4. Simmer 2 minutes.
5. Spoon hot mixture into an ungreased 9 inch square pan or 12 X 8 pan.
6. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits;.
7. Arrange 10 biscuits over hot meat mixture;.
8. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
9. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden.
