Lasagna
- 1 (16 oz.) container cottage cheese
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked 7 minutes
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 Tbsp. Mazola corn oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. onions, chopped
- garlic powder
- For meat sauce, in a frying pan, heat corn oil over medium heat.
- Add ground beef, onion and garlic powder.
- Cook for about 18 minutes, or until browned.
- In blender, place 1 can tomatoes; blend on high speed for 30 seconds, until finely chopped.
- Add to beef mixture.
- Stir in tomato paste, sugar, salt, oregano and pepper; bring to a boil.
- Set aside until needed.
