Ed'S Bourbon Sauce For Grilled Meat
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 head of garlic, roasted and squeezed
- 1/2 cup Bourbon
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 tablespoon dry rub seasonings
- 2 tablespoons malt vinegar
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons cane syrup (we use Steen's)
- kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper
- In a small skillet, saute the onion in the olive oil until translucent and add the roasted garlic.
- Deglaze the pan with the Bourbon and reduce in half.
- Add the beef stock and reduce in half.
- Add the Steen's cane syrup, lemon juice, vinegar, and salt and pepper.
- Stir well and slowly simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Finish the sauce with the butter and serve immediately.
