Coconut Surprise Sheet Cake
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
- 2/3 c. canned milk
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
- Mix yellow cake mix as directed on package.
- Add coconut and coconut flavoring (this makes the cake light).
- Bake at 350u0b0 for about 35 minutes in 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Mix the canned milk, powdered sugar, vanilla and coconut flavoring while the cake is baking.
- Use a 2-cup measure and add enough water at the end to make a total of 1 3/4 cups liquid.
- As soon as cake is removed, punch holes all over the top with a fork.
- Pour the liquid over the warm cake.
- Use all the liquid.
- When the cake is cool, top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut.
- Refrigerate.
- If desired, when serving, top each piece with a cherry.
