Peanut Butter Dreams
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt (optional)
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. extra crunchy peanut butter
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate (semi-sweet) chips
- 1 c. dark raisins (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Combine flour, soda and salt and set aside.
- In large bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar and shortening.
- Beat until creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time and beat well after each addition.
- Add vanilla.
- Gradually add flour mixture and blend well.
- Stir in chocolate chips and optional raisins.
- Shape into walnut-sized balls and press down gently on cookie sheet, retaining round shape.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375u0b0.
