Cheese Sauce For Broccoli
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp. m.s.g.
- 3 dashes hot pepper sauce
- 3 1/2 c. milk
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 5 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- slivered almonds
- paprika
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- Saute onion in margarine until tender.
- Blend in flour and seasonings.
- Add milk and bouillon cubes.
- Stir over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Add a little of the heated sauce to eggs.
- Stir this into rest of sauce.
- Add cheese; stir until melted.
- Add mushrooms; pour over broccoli in a casserole.
- Sprinkle with almonds and paprika.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes, until brown.
