Mama Millie'S Meatball Soup

  1. Mix the first 9 ingredients together.
  2. Roll into bite size meatballs.
  3. Do not fry; set aside.
  4. Into the 3 quarts water, add the bouillon cubes and beef broth.
  5. Add the onion, carrots, celery and parsnips (if desired) to broth mixture.
  6. (May add more water and broth.)
  7. Simmer vegetables for 1/2 hour, then add meatballs, 2 tablespoons grated cheese and the sauce for color.
  8. Simmer for 1 hour.
  9. If desired, may add 1 cup cooked barley or rice.
