Almond Fried Chicken(Chinese Style)

  1. Marinate chicken strips in next 6 ingredients for 2 hours. Drain; dip in beaten egg, then dredge in flour.
  2. Deep fry until golden brown.
  3. Arrange on lettuce leaves on serving plate.
  4. Bring to boil the chicken broth.
  5. Add butter.
  6. Make a paste with the cornstarch and small amount of water and add to the boiling broth, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
  7. Add salt and pepper.
  8. Spoon over chicken and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
