Divine Chocolate Cake(Makes 6 To 8 Servings)
- 2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. ground walnuts
- 1/4 tsp. grated orange zest
- Chocolate Glaze
- In small, heavy saucepan over low heat, melt 2/3 cup morsels, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- In small mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Blend in melted chocolate until smooth.
- Beat in flour.
- Stir in walnuts, orange zest and 2/3 cup morsels.
- Spread into greased 9-inch heart-shaped pan.
- Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 38 to 42 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly moist.
- Cool for 20 minutes; remove from pan.
- Cool completely on wire racks.
- Slip wax paper under rack; spread Chocolate Glaze over top and sides of cake.
- If desired, place 1 to 2 tablespoons glaze in piping bag filled with small plain tip.
- Pipe message and decorate; chill.
