No Cook Ahead Lasagna
- 1 lb. Ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 pkg. frozen, chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1 large (29 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 pkg. (uncooked) lasagna noodles
- 1 c. water
- In a large bowl, combine the Ricotta cheese, 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, the egg, spinach and oregano.
- In greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish, layer 1/2 cup sauce, 1/3 noodles and 1/2 cheese mixture; repeat.
- Top with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup remaining Mozzarella cheese over.
- Pour water around edges.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- (There is no need to cook noodles ahead of time.)
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until bubbly.
- Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
- Freezes well.
