Red Velvet Cake(Low-Fat Recipe)

  1. Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating well. Gradually add egg substitute, beating well. Stir in food coloring.
  2. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients.
  3. Add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  4. Mix until just blended after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Pour batter into three 9-inch cake pans coated with cooking spray.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 18 minutes.
  8. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans.
  9. Cool completely on wire racks. Spread Boiled Frosting between layers, on sides and top of cake.
