Cheddar Cabbage Wedges

  1. Cut the cabbage into 8 wedges, leaving a portion of the core on each wedge, leaving
  2. a portion of the core on each wedge. Steam wedges in boiling salted water in large kettle for 10-15 minutes or until crisp tender.
  3. Drain and remove core, place wedges in a greased 3 qt. baking dish.
  4. In a medium saucepan, saute green pepper and onion in butter until tender.
  5. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
  6. Cook until bubbly, gradually add milk and cook and stir until thickened.
  7. Pour over cabbage, bake uncovered at 375u0b0 for 15 minutes.
  8. In a small bowl, combine cheese, mayonnaise and chili sauce, spoon over wedges and return to oven for 5 minutes.
