Lollipop Cookies
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- granulated sugar
- 18 wooden craft sticks (popsicle)
- assorted 4 1/2 oz. tubes of decorating frosting
- assorted candies and sprinkles
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed with electric mixer until blended.
- Set aside. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add gradually to butter mixture, beating after each addition.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Dip a flat-bottomed glass in granulated sugar and use to flatten each ball.
- Insert a wooden stick into each to resemble a lollipop.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 11 to 12 minutes.
- Cool completely on cookie sheets; remove carefully.
- Decorate cookies as desired.
- Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
