Barbecue Shrimp
- select jumbo shrimp (headless and deveined but not peeled), 1 to 1 1/2 lb. per person
- butter, melted
- 2 onions, coarsely chopped
- 10 to 12 toes fresh garlic, crushed
- liberal dash of Worcestershire sauce
- liberal dashes Tabasco sauce
- 4 to 6 lemons, sliced and seeded
- salt to taste
- liberal application of black pepper
- 4 to 6 dashes paprika
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 4 bay leaves
- 1/2 c. white wine
- Layer shrimp in large baking pan.
- Add sufficient butter to cover.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 15 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turn pink.
- Place shrimp under broiler for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until exposed shrimp start to turn brown.
- Serve shrimp and sauce in bowl with garlic bread for dunking.
