Chicken And Rice
- 3/4 to 1 c. rice, uncooked
- 3/4 c. chopped onion and green pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. water or milk
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. celery salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. Adolph's meat tenderizer
- dash of oregano
- Combine in frying pan and saute rice, onion, pepper and butter.
- In large bowl, combine water or milk, soup and seasonings. Combine rice and liquid mixture and pour all into a large casserole dish.
- Place 1/2 chicken, cut in serving size pieces on top.
- Bake covered for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours at 350u0b0. Stir occasionally to check for rice drying.
