7 Layer Salad
- 5 eggs, boiled (or how many you want)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 16 oz. Miracle Whip
- 1/2 or more head lettuce
- 1 large (16 oz.) bag frozen green peas
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crispy and crumbled
- 1 onion or less, chopped finely
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
- red peppers or paprika for garnish or green peppers or pimentos (be creative)
- Boil eggs first.
- Mix sugar with Miracle Whip in second bowl for dressing.
- Put lettuce in salad bowl as first layer.
- Add green peas as second layer and diced celery as third layer.
- Press firmly with hands.
- Next, put on bacon, onion, Cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese.
- Spread the Miracle Whip mix on top.
- Cut up or slice boiled eggs and put on top of salad.
- Garnish with red peppers or paprika or green peppers or pimentos.
- Refrigerate several hours before serving.
- (The recipe recommends 24 hours; sometimes there isn't enough time.)
