Caramel Apple Bread Pudding

  1. Melt caramels with water in saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir occasionally until sauce is smooth.
  3. Place bread cubes in greased 11 3/4 x 7 1/2-inch baking dish.
  4. Top with apple slices.
  5. Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon; pour over apples. Cover with caramel sauce.
  6. Set dish in large pan on oven rack; pour in boiling water to 1/2-inch depth.
  7. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and outside edge comes out clean.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
  9. Serves 6 to 8.
