Cherry Dumplin' Cake(Makes 9 Servings)
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cold oleo
- 2 1/2 c. biscuit mix
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- In medium bowl, combine pie filling, condensed milk and almond extract.
- In large bowl, cut 1/2 cup oleo into 2 cups biscuit mix until crumbly.
- Stir in cherry mixture . Spread in greased 12 x 7-inch baking dish.
- In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup biscuit mix and sugar.
- Cut in remaining 2 tablespoons oleo until crumbly.
- Stir in nuts.
- Sprinkle evenly over cherry mixture.
- Bake 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
