Mandarin Orange Chiffon Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Sift all dry ingredients together (cake flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt).
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vegetable cooking oil and sugar.
  4. Beat the mixture until it becomes smooth.
  5. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add the hot water.
  6. Stir well.
  7. Add all the dry ingredients. Stir in the vanilla, then the sweet potatoes and nuts.
  8. Beat well.
