Easy Parmesan Pasta With Asparagus
- 1 (8 ounce) package cooked pasta (I like linguine)
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (amount optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (amount optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian spices (amount optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (extra for topping)
- 2 cups diced steamed asparagus
- 1 cup diced fresh tomato (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper
- In a large skillet, add olive oil, butter, crushed red pepper, italian seasoning, parsley, and garlic. Cook over low heat until garlic is soft, about 5 minutes. Do not burn garlic.
- When the garlic is soft, add the asparagus and tomato.
- Stir until combined.
- Add cooked pasta and parmesan.
- Mix well.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
