Mother'S Ground Beef Special
- 8 oz. shell macaroni
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 3 medium onions
- 1 green pepper, minced
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 c. cooking sherry
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Cook macaroni.
- Meanwhile, melt butter; brown meat, onions, pepper and garlic.
- Place in a 3-quart casserole dish.
- Stir in tomato sauce, then add remaining ingredients.
- Stir well. Refrigerate overnight to mellow.
- Take out 2 hours before baking. Preheat oven to 250u0b0.
- Bake, covered, for 2 hours or until bubbling.
