Carolina Gold Barbecue Sauce

  1. In a heavy saucepan, combine mustard, and vinegar.
  2. Then add chili powder, chipotle, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Bring to a simmer over medium high heat.
  4. DO NOT BOIL, as this could cause scorching.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, butter, hot sauce, and liquid smoke.
  7. Then simmer for another 15 minutes.
  8. Pour into an airtight jar and refrigerate.
  9. This will keep in fridge for a couple of weeks.
