Cheese Puffs
- 1 (4 oz.) container cream cheese, whipped
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. sharp white Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. frozen chives
- 4 slices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
- 4 frozen patty shells, thawed
- Combine cream cheese, egg, lemon juice, chives and a dash of pepper.
- Beat well.
- Stir in Cheddar cheese and bacon.
- Chill. Roll one of the patty shells to 8 x 4-inch rectangle.
- Cut into 2-inch squares.
- Top each square with a rounded teaspoonful of filling.
- Brush edges with milk.
- Fold to form triangle.
- Seal. Repeat with remaining shells and filling.
- Place on ungreased sheet.
- Chill appetizers until ready to bake.
- Place in a 450u0b0 oven.
- Immediately reduce oven to 400u0b0.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Yields 32.
