Double Chocolate Bars
- 2 rolls refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 2/3 c. margarine/butter
- 2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Add nuts and mix well.
- Melt the margarine in a large bowl in the microwave (or on top of stove); add sugar.
- Cool slightly and add beaten eggs and vanilla.
- To the margarine and sugar mixture, add flour mix a small amount at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Turn dough out into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle chocolate pieces over top and bake at 350u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
- (Do not overbake.)
- Cool in pan and cut into bars. Makes approximately 4 dozen.
