Dirty Rice
- 2 boxes Uncle Ben's long grain and wild rice (23 herbs)
- 2 lb. ground meat
- 1 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 bunch green onions
- Tex Joy steak seasoning
- a little red pepper
- salt
- Put ground meat into skillet.
- Add a little steak seasoning and a little red pepper and start cooking.
- While ground meat is frying, cut up onion, bell pepper and green onions into small pieces.
- Drain grease from meat when halfway cooked.
- Add bell pepper, onion and green onions.
- Cook until vegetables are tender. Add more steak seasoning and red pepper, if needed.
- When meat, bell pepper and onions are fully cooked, add 2 1/3 cups water per box.
- Stir in contents of both boxes.
- (Use only 1 Uncle Ben's seasoning packet.)
- Cover tightly and simmer until all water is absorbed, about 25 minutes.
