Beans Beverly
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cut into pieces
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 (28 to 31 oz.) can pork and beans (undrained)
- 1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans (undrained)
- 1 (15 oz.) can lima beans (undrained)
- 1 (15 oz.) can small butter beans (undrained)
- 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- In a large saucepot or Dutch oven, saute ground beef, bacon, onion and garlic.
- Add ketchup, dry mustard, all beans, vinegar, salt and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Pour mixture into a large beanpot or other type of casserole dish.
- Bake in a preheated 350u0b0 oven for about 1 hour or until thickened.
- Serves 10.
