Cherry Streusel

  1. Combine cherries and 1/2 cup sugar in an 8-inch square baking pan, stirring well.
  2. Combine egg white, milk and vanilla, stirring well to blend.
  3. Pour over cherries.
  4. Combine flour and brown sugar in a small bowl, stirring well to mix.
  5. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  6. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle crumb mixture over top.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm.
  9. Yields 12 servings.
