French Quarter Green Beans
- 3 cans French-style green beans
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp. dried onion flakes
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (2 1/2 oz.) pkg. sliced or slivered almonds
- paprika
- Drain green beans.
- Melt margarine in 3-quart saucepan.
- Add soup and cream cheese.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cream cheese is melted and mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in green beans, onion flakes, salt, pepper and cheese. Spoon mixture into casserole dish sprayed with Pam.
- Top with almonds, sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake, uncovered, at 375u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Can be made a day ahead and kept in refrigerator until baking.
