Strawberry Salad
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
- 2 bananas, mashed
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
- 1/2 pt. whipping cream
- 1/4 c. crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- nuts (optional)
- Dissolve
- jello
- in
- hot water.
- Save 1/4 mixture to be used later.
- Into the rest of the jello, mix together bananas, strawberries
- and
- pineapple.
- Puttn refrigerator until congealed.to
- the
- softened cream cheese add the cup of confectioners
- sugar
- and the vanilla (set aside).tn another bowl, beat the whipping cream.
- Add this to the cream cheese mixture along
- with 1/4 cup of reserved jello.
- Put this on top of the congealed salad and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
- Be sure not to leave out more than 1/4 cup of the gelatin and hot water
- mixture
- or the bottom layer will not jell.this is so good it could be served for salad or dessert.
