Bog Stew(Crock-Pot)
- 1 lb. chuck stew meat (get as marbled as possible)
- 5 carrots
- 4 to 5 potatoes (add any other veggie you'd like)
- 3/4 c. flour
- 4 to 5 bouillon cubes
- salt and pepper
- garlic powder
- minced onion
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. corn oil
- 1 pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 3 or 4 large ripe (yellow) plantains
- salt and black pepper to taste
- garlic powder to taste
- pinch of oregano to taste
- In a lightly greased frying pan or skillet, saute green peppers and onions until tender.
- Add ground beef.
- Mix in salt, black pepper and garlic powder to taste.
- Stir and let simmer for five minutes.
- Add tomato sauce and cook over medium fire for 10 to 15 minutes until meat is thoroughly cooked.
