Easy Italian Casserole

  1. Cook beef, onion and garlic until brown; drain.
  2. Stir in sauce, mushrooms, sugar, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
  3. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes. Heat oven to 400u0b0.
  5. Grease or use Pam in 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Mix Bisquick with milk and egg; spread 1/2 of mixture in dish. Top with 4 slices of cheese.
  6. Spoon beef mixture over cheese. Place pepperoni on top.
  7. Top with 4 slices of cheese.
  8. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
  9. Drop remaining Bisquick mixture on top.
  10. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
  11. Bake at 400u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
  12. Makes 6 servings.
