Easter Bread(Cutzuppi)

  1. In a bowl, mix 1 cup flour, sugar, salt and dry yeast.
  2. In a saucepan, mix milk and margarine.
  3. Heat milk enough until margarine is slightly melted.
  4. Gradually add to dry mix and stir well.
  5. Add both eggs and 1/2 cup flour.
  6. Add seed and extract.
  7. Make thick, smooth batter.
  8. Gradually add flour to make a soft dough.
  9. Turn onto lightly floured table.
  10. Knead well.
  11. Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place until size doubles, about 1 hour. Punch down.
  12. Divide dough in 2. Shape - e.g. cross.
  13. Place a colored egg on top as decoration.
