Six-Week Muffins
- 1 (15 oz.) box Raisin Bran cereal
- 5 c. plain flour
- 5 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 1 c. oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 tsp. cloves and nutmeg
- 1 tsp. soda in 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- In a pot, place brown sugar, water, raisins, margarine and spices.
- On stove top, bring to boil and let cool.
- Add all other ingredients and mix well.
- Grease and flour pans.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and fork comes out clean.
