Banana Bars
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed with fork (about 1 c.)
- 1 egg
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels
- In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- In large mixer bowl, cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.
- Beat in bananas and egg.
- Gradually beat in dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate mini morsels.
- Spread in greased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
- Bake in 350u0b0 preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely in pan on rack.
- Cut into bars or squares.
- Well wrapped, these freeze well!
