Best Ever Chess Pie

  1. Soften butter and beat until fluffy.
  2. Add sugar and cream. Then lemon juice and grated rind.
  3. Add the syrup and the cornstarch, mixed with a little water.
  4. Then add the rest of the water.
  5. Last, beat the 4 egg whites until slightly stiff and fold into mixture.
  6. Pour into unbaked pie shells.
  7. Bake at 375u0b0 until firm.
  8. Makes 2 thick pies.
