Minestrone Soup
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper
- 1 qt. water
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1 Tbsp. dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp. ground basil
- 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can green beans
- 1 1/4 c. macaroni, uncooked
- Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
- Cook hamburger, onion, and green pepper and drain.
- Puree tomatoes in blender.
- Add to hamburger mixture with water, carrots, tomato sauce, broth, parsley, basil, oregano, pepper and garlic salt.
- Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
