Gene'S Special Calzone
- 1 pizza dough
- 1/2 lb. salami
- 1/2 lb. boiled ham
- 1/2 lb. hot ham
- 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese
- 1 egg
- sesame or poppy seeds
- Let pizza dough rise overnight and punch down as needed.
- Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
- Spread out one layer of salami in a circular pattern completely covering dough.
- Cover salami completely with one layer of boiled ham and then cover the ham with layer of hot ham.
- Cover these meats in circular pattern with Provolone.
- Pick up one end of dough and fold to the midpoint and then fold the same side once more to the end.
- Tuck in sides of calzone so nothing leaks when baked.
- Beat a whole egg and brush over calzone so it will brown.
- Sprinkle poppy or sesame seeds on top and cut three small slices on top to let steam escape.
- Put calzone on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour, checking at 45 minutes and remove when brown. Add 5 to 10 minutes for 2 calzones.
