Caramel Candy Bars
- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
- 1/3 c. milk
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. oats
- 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 egg
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Heat caramels and milk in 2-quart saucepan over low heat; stir frequently until melted.
- Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, egg and salt. Cut in margarine with fork until crumbly.
- Press 1/2 of mixture into pan.
- Bake 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle nuts, then chips over baked layer.
- Drizzle caramel mixture over top.
- Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Store in refrigerator.
- May microwave when ready to eat.
