Sausage Crouton Casserole - Oamc
- 1 (12 ounce) package fully cooked smoked link sausage, sliced
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 1 (11 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
- 1 tablespoon minced dried onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage, crushed
- 4 teaspoons butter
- 1 cup onion and garlic croutons
- Combine the flour and milk together. Add sausage, soup, peas, macaroni, onion and sage. Turn into four 10 oz casseroles. Cover, seal, label and freeze.
- Bake frozen casserole, uncovered in 400u0b0 oven 45 minutes.
- For each casserole, melt 1 tsp butter and toss with 1/4 cup croutons. Sprinkle croutons around casserole edge. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 5 minutes more (or top unfrozen casserole with buttered croutons, bake in 350u0b0 oven for 30 minutes).
