Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars(Skor Bars)
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2/3 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. Skor English toffee bits, divided
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- In a large bowl, stir flour and brown sugar.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add egg; mix well.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the chips and nuts.
- Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture.
- Press remaining mixture into bottom of pan.
- Bake 10 minutes.
- Pour Eagle Brand over hot crust.
- Top with 1 1/2 cups toffee bits.
- Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture and remaining chocolate chips over top. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with remaining toffee bits while hot.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into bars. These bars freeze well.
