Cheeseburger Pie
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained and chopped
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 pkg. (8 rolls) crescent rolls
- 3 eggs
- 6 slices (6 oz.) American cheese
- 1 Tbsp. water
- Brown ground chuck and onion.
- Drain.
- Stir in next six ingredients.
- Set aside.
- Separate dough into triangles.
- In lightly greased 9-inch pie plate, arrange pointed ends to the center and press edges together to form a pie shell.
- Beat together 2 eggs plus 1 egg white.
- Put beef mixture in pie shell. Pour half of egg mixture over beef.
- Arrange cheese slices on top. Spread with remaining egg mixture.
- Mix reserved egg yolk with water and set aside.
- Separate second package of rolls.
- Roll and press into a 12-inch square.
- Brush bottom of dough with egg mixture.
- Place dough on top of filling.
- Seal, trim and flute edges.
- Brush with remaining egg mixture.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
- Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes longer.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
